Lessons from Job: Humility and God's Righteousness

Today, I want to share with you from the Book of Job, chapter 40, verse 4. This passage shows us a powerful moment of humility before God.

Job is saying, 'Look, I am unworthy. What can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth.'

Job speaks these words after being quiet for a while. He says he spoke once but won't answer again. He spoke twice but will say no more. This shows true humility before God.

Then God speaks to Job from the windstorm. He says, "Brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will inform me."

God asks Job some deep questions:

  • "Will you question my justice?"
  • "Will you say I am wrong so you can be right?"
  • "Do you have an arm as powerful as God's?"
  • "Can your voice thunder like His?"

God tells Job to:

  • Adorn himself with glory and majesty
  • Clothe himself with dignity and splendor
  • Release the fury of his anger

These words remind us that God's power is far beyond what we can understand. When we face God, like Job, we learn to be humble. His righteousness and power are perfect, while we are limited in our understanding.

The Spiritual Battle: Discernment and the Power of Choice

In our walk with God, we need to understand the powerful forces at work in our lives. There's a clear difference between left and right in the spiritual realm - Satan on the left, and God's kingdom on the right.

If you learn how you're being maneuvered individually, then you can show your fellow man how they're being maneuvered also, and that's where discernment comes from.

Understanding Spiritual Forces

God talks about this difference in the books of Ezekiel and Jonah. In Jonah, God speaks of 120,000 souls who can't tell their left from their right. This shows how many people don't see these spiritual forces at work.

I'm just starting to truly understand how much power these forces have in our lives. This includes both Satan's influence on the left and God's kingdom on the right.

The Value of Discernment

The Book of Proverbs teaches us something vital - gain discernment above all else. Nothing equals its worth. When you learn how spiritual forces work in your life, you can help others see it too.

Growing in Wisdom

Proverbs Chapter 1 gives us clear steps to grow:

  • Learn wisdom and discipline
  • Understand words that give insight
  • Gain righteousness and good judgment
  • Develop uprightness
  • Build shrewdness if you're inexperienced
  • Grow in knowledge and thinking ability

A wise person keeps listening and learning. Someone with understanding stays open to more teaching. This helps us make better choices and see things more clearly.

Walking in Righteousness: Forgiveness and Resisting Anger

If you're not following God and His word, then what you're actually following is Satan and what his words say.

We need to be skillfully directed in our spiritual walk. There's a divine force that can reach all of us - both as individuals and as a group. This force wants to stop us from following God's words. It tries everything it can to keep us from the Lord.

The Battle Against Rage and Anger

The enemy doesn't want us to listen when God talks about:

  • Being patient
  • Showing loving kindness
  • Having self-control
  • Leaving rage and anger behind

When you follow feelings of rage and anger, you're not walking on God's path. God tells us to hold fast to what's right. But if you choose anger, you're actually holding onto Satan's kingdom. This leads to your downfall because bringing people down is all Satan can do.

The Power of Prophecy and Love

True prophecy builds people up - it doesn't tear them down. Prophecy is built on love, and God is love. Here's how to know if your thoughts are from God:

  • Do they help you show loving kindness?
  • Do they build others up?
  • Do they bring peace?

If not, those thoughts aren't from God.

Walking in True Righteousness

To walk in righteousness, you need to know how to do it God's way. When someone wrongs you, God first asks you to forgive. When we follow God's instructions, He guides us more. But if we reject His words, Satan gets to direct us instead.

Remember, there are only two paths:

  1. Following God's guidance
  2. Being led by Satan's influence

The choice is clear - when we ignore God's way, we end up following Satan's will. There's no middle ground. We must choose wisely and stick to God's path of righteousness, forgiveness, and love.

Making Godly Choices: Training the Heart and Embracing Change

Life gives us choices every day. It's simple - we either follow God's way or Satan's way. There's no middle ground.

When I came to God and God showed me, he showed me to train your heart because the first thing when he was talking about forgiveness to me, I told God I can't do that, and he left and sent an angel in place and they trained me.

The Power of Choice

Just like choosing between bread or candy in your fridge, we make spiritual choices all the time. These choices come to us from above. The good news is - you don't have to follow every thought that pops into your head. You can train yourself to make better choices.

Learning to Change

When you start following God's way:

  • It might feel uncomfortable at first
  • That's okay - keep going
  • The end result is worth it
  • You'll grow closer to God

Help Along the Way

God gives us lots of help on our journey:

  • Honorable angels
  • True prophets
  • The 12 disciples
  • The 24 elders

They're all there to help us stay true to God's words.

The Results of Good Choices

When you stick to God's path:

  • Satan's plans can't work against you
  • You learn to control anger
  • You grow in patience
  • You find a better way of life

I can tell you from experience - this is the best life I've ever lived. It's so much better than when Satan controlled my steps. With God's help, we can all learn to make choices that bring life and peace.

The Consequences of Rejecting God's Word

When we turn away from God's words, we face serious results. Let me share what I've learned about this important truth.

The Reality of Persecution

Life brings hard times, whether we follow God or not. The Lord was clear about this. He said He faced persecution, and we will too. It doesn't matter if you pick up your cross to follow Him or not - tough times will come.

Satan's Limited Power

You could follow Satan, you could do his will, I guarantee you still gonna meet up with some type of calamity, you still going to meet up with some type of harm, you still going to meet up with some type of hurt, because that's all they can give us.

Satan and his demons can only bring harm. They have no good will toward us. Even if you follow Satan's path, you'll still face:

  • Trouble
  • Pain
  • Hard times
  • Harm

The Daily Battle

Satan works against us every day through:

  • Our thoughts
  • Daily challenges
  • Life's struggles

We're all dealing with Satan's attacks. So why help him hurt others? It makes no sense to add more harm when we're all already hurting.

Finding a Better Way

When I first came to God, He showed me how to train my heart. When He talked about forgiveness, I said I couldn't do it. But God didn't give up on me. He sent an angel to train me.

I learned that:

  • I just needed to train my heart
  • I could become better
  • I didn't have to be like others
  • I didn't need to follow those who harm people

It's not worth it to hurt innocent people. We don't need anyone's blessing to do what's right. God's way leads to something better than what Satan offers.

Finding Refreshment and Peace in God's Word

God's way is the only way to find true peace and nourishment for your soul. If you want to:

  • Break free from depression
  • Remove harmful people from your life
  • Find real peace of mind

The answer is simple - start listening to God. He will guide you.

The Power of Scripture

Every scripture I've read in the Bible has helped me deal with life's challenges. For the past 30-40 years - really my whole life - God's Word has been my guide. When I was younger, I only knew a few verses. But now I hold onto the whole Bible.

Nothing can come against me that God's Word can't help me overcome. As I listen to His Word and use it in my life, I learn to handle difficult situations His way.

God's Gentle Approach

When dealing with others who may hurt us, we should follow God's example:

  • He doesn't strike people down
  • He doesn't use force
  • He doesn't make people feel bad
  • He shows love and patience

There's a big difference between God's way and Satan's way. God's approach brings peace, not pain.

A Final Word of Encouragement

Please become willing and to listen to God's words because they are refreshments to your soul and they will keep you safe and tidy until he arrives.

It all starts with being willing to listen to God's Word. His words refresh your soul and keep you safe. When you follow His way, you'll find the peace and guidance you need for every situation in life.
