July 12, 2025 2 min read

Welcome to a special series about healing and hope.

This is going to be a series that explores the journey of faith and forgiveness when you have been harmed.

We're going to walk together on a path that many find hard to travel. It's a journey that looks at both sides of hurt - those who feel pain and those who cause it.

This series will not only help the one who has been harmed, but also the one who is causing harm.

Whether you're dealing with pain or trying to make things right, this series is for you. We'll explore how faith and forgiveness work together to bring healing. Let's take this important first step together as we learn about moving forward after being hurt.

Understanding Pain and the Path to Forgiveness

Let's talk about pain.

When deep hurt strikes our lives, it can feel overwhelming. Many of us face the tough task of finding forgiveness after a painful event.

Many are talking about how deep tragedy has caused them a lot of pain and how do they suppose to exercise forgiveness.

The journey through pain to forgiveness isn't easy. But there's wise guidance we can follow.

The first thing to take into consideration is that the bible says to safeguard your heart because out of it are your sources of life.

This key truth shows us where to start. Your heart needs protection because it affects everything in your life.

If you do not safeguard your heart, then what happens is this, you can become treacherous. And nine times out of ten, you will because of how our hearts are created.

When we don't guard our hearts after being hurt, we risk becoming bitter. Pain can change us in ways we don't want if we're not careful. That's why taking care of our hearts must come first on the path to forgiveness.
