Spiritual Warfare: Understanding the Battle Within

August 26, 2025 5 min read

We live in a world where two forces are always at work. Yes, Jesus set us free through His sacrifice. His blood washed away our sins. But there's something we need to know.

Even though we are free children of God's today due to the blood of the lamb, shedding his blood for our sins, Satan still has access to us because if he didn't, it wouldn't people wouldn't be facing hardship to death.

You see, even as God's children, we still face challenges. The fact that people go through hard times shows us that Satan isn't completely blocked from our lives. This is the reality of our daily walk with God. It's a truth we need to understand as we grow in our faith.

Choosing Divine Influence: Following God's Word

Want more good thoughts from God's angels in your life? The path is clear. You must follow what God tells us in the Bible.

In order for the honorable angels thoughts to have to be more prevalent in your life, You have to follow the things that God has written in the Holy Bible.

There is no other way.

God gave us His word as our guide. It's that simple. When we stick to His teachings, we open our hearts to His angels' good influence. There are no shortcuts or other paths - the Bible is our map to living right.

Following God's word isn't just a suggestion. It's the only way to invite more of heaven's help into our daily walk. When we choose to live by His book, we choose His divine influence over our thoughts and lives.

Recognizing the Enemy Within

Let me tell you what happens when we don't stay close to God's word.

If you don't, then Satan's thoughts will be more prevalent.

You see, when Satan gets a foothold in your life, it shows in how you act. You might find yourself judging others quickly when you shouldn't. You might hurt people with words when you could choose kindness instead.

Is and the only reason why that is so is because Satan's seed is operating within you and the demon, the dishonorable angels, are there giving you thoughts that have weight to it.

These bad thoughts don't come from nowhere. They come from what I call Satan's seed working inside us. The demons - those angels who turned away from God - put these thoughts in our minds. And these thoughts feel real and heavy. They push us to do things that hurt others and ourselves.

Think of it like this: when you feel that quick urge to judge someone or say something harsh, that's not your true self speaking. That's the enemy within trying to guide your actions.

The Struggle Between Good and Evil Thoughts

Have you ever felt like doing the right thing is harder than it should be? Let me explain why this happens.

And so when you try to you know you have, like, the good conscious thought because the honorable angel was always there to give you the good thought. However, it's not strong enough to propel you to do the right thing.

You see, God's angels are always there, giving us good thoughts. They whisper the right path to us. But sometimes these good thoughts don't feel strong enough to make us act right.

That's how the drug addicts remain a drug addict that's for so long.

Think about someone fighting drug addiction. They might know what's right. They might hear that good voice telling them to stop. But the pull of addiction feels stronger. This same battle happens with other struggles too - whether it's fighting depression, staying in bad relationships, or living on the streets.

These good thoughts have weight too, but sometimes they feel lighter than the bad ones pulling us down. It's like having two voices in your head - one pushing you toward light, the other toward darkness. This is the real struggle many of us face every day.

Personal Angels and Demons: A Lifelong Influence

Let me share something important I've learned about spiritual forces in our lives.

I've learned that all of us have personal, honorable angel and also a demon that's attached to us from conception.

This spiritual influence starts even before we're born. From the moment life begins, these forces are with us. When the baby comes into the world, both forces are already at work.

You can see this play out in early childhood. Think about the "terrible twos" stage. Parents often have to keep pulling their toddlers away from danger or stopping them from harmful actions.

Some of us say it's curiosity, but when you look past that, that's that demon that is having that child go to get some bleach or, to put their hand on a hot stove and things like that.

This same spiritual battle explains why some struggles in life can last so long. Think about:

  • People stuck in bad relationships
  • Folks living on the streets
  • Those fighting depression
  • People dealing with addiction

These aren't just life problems. They show how spiritual forces work in our lives. The demons keep people stuck in these hard spots. It's a real battle that starts early and can last a lifetime if we don't understand what we're dealing with.

The Nature of Demonic Influence

Let me tell you just how tricky and mean these evil forces can be. It starts early - way earlier than most folks think.

Some of us say it's curiosity, but when you look past that, that's that demon that is having that child go to get some bleach or, to put their hand on a hot stove and things like that.

These demons don't play nice. They show their true colors in how they work. The Bible tells us the truth about this.

It's written in the book of Matthews about saying that Satan is a man slayer and he is. He slays us ungodly.

Think about someone who keeps cheating on their partner over and over. They might wonder why they can't stop. Here's the truth - their personal demon is right there, pushing them to keep hurting themselves and others.

Even when you try to do good things, these forces work against you. They want to block your good deeds. They want to stop you from helping others. That's how mean they are - they'll try to wreck both the good you want to do and the good you want to be.

Finding Freedom: Embracing God's Will

Even when you choose to do what's right, the battle isn't over. The enemy has a sneaky way of trying to make you doubt your good choices.

Think about it - you finally do the right thing, but then those thoughts creep in: "Why did I do that?" These doubts can be really tough to handle.

Let me give you a real example. If you've been stuck in a pattern of cheating, there's more to it than just bad choices. Your personal demon stays right there, pushing you to keep making those harmful decisions. They want you to hurt yourself and others.

But there's hope and help available.
