When we take a good look at our world today, we see lots of people going through hard times. Pain and struggle show up everywhere we look.
Some folks can't make ends meet with their money. Others don't have enough food to eat. Many people feel alone, missing the love they need in their lives.
All of this is happening because of Satan and his will... Satan's will for mankind is for all of us to have calamity in our lives.
These troubles touch people from all walks of life. It's a sad truth we see playing out day after day. But knowing what we're up against is the first step toward making things better.
Satan wants to bring trouble to everyone's life. That's why, as God tells us, people face hard times. But we don't have to let these troubles win. We can fight back, and one of our best tools is forgiveness.
When you exercise forgiveness towards someone who has harmed you, not only do you release the person from that sin you also release them from a judgment that Satan will place, but you also remove yourself from being up under Satan's judgment because you did not judge.
When we forgive others, we do two good things at once:
Think of forgiveness as a shield. It guards both you and the person who wronged you. When you choose to forgive, you break Satan's power to use that hurt against either of you.
God knows life brings hard times. But He also gives us ways to deal with them. Forgiveness is one of our strongest weapons against Satan's plans for causing trouble in our lives.
Sometimes forgiving others can feel really hard. God understands this. That's why He gives us practical ways to handle forgiveness in our lives.
So when you're exercising forgiveness, walk, do it in a way where it's not hard for you to do it.
Here's how to approach forgiveness in a way that works for you:
The key is to forgive in a way that doesn't feel like a heavy burden. God wants forgiveness to help us, not weigh us down. Take the path that works best for you while keeping the end goal in mind.
When we judge others, we play right into Satan's plan. Here's why this matters so much:
It's so that he can place a judgment. Placing a judgment, when he places a judgment, he holds us back.
Satan uses our judgments in two ways:
This shows us why we need to stop judging others. Each time we judge, we give Satan a chance to work against us. He wants to slow down our growth and block our blessings.
If you'd like to dig deeper into this topic, there's good news. You can find more wisdom in Charlene Murray's book "God is Willing." It's a great resource that can help you understand these truths even better.
Remember, breaking free from judgment opens the door to God's blessings in your life. Take this first step today - choose to let go of judgment and embrace forgiveness instead.
